The Lowest Hanging Fruit: How a Social Enterprise Aims to Repurpose Colorado's Food Surplus

Join us to learn about the country's first Statewide Gleaning Network, housed here in Colorado. Dave Laskarzewski, Maggie Brown and Ciara Low of UpRoot will discuss their new and innovative business model which seeks to reduce food surplus while tackling local hunger.

What is Gleaning? It's the act of collecting leftover crops from farmers' fields after they have been commercially harvested or on fields where it is not economically profitable to harvest.

Come ready to learn, connect, and provide help to a great organization just getting going in our state.  Please bring your own brown bag lunch.
